On May 12, the Port of Seattle will roll out a new badge system, Intellisoft IDMS. This will impact badges for all Aviation, and you will see new badge designs starting May 12, 2025.
During this transition period, the Credential Center hours of operation, and services will be reduced:
- Friday May 2nd: Last day for new badge appointments
- Monday May 5th- Tuesday May 6th: Renewals and Badge Pick-Ups only
- Tuesday May 6th will be the last day badges are produced in the old design format.
- Wednesday May 7 through Friday May 9: Credential Center closure. All badging services will be unavailable during this time.
- Badge deactivations will need to be emailed to [email protected].
- Monday May 12th: IDMS System Go-Live. Services will be limited this week to allow for a smooth transition. All new badges produced from this date forward will be in the new vertical design. Existing badges remain valid through their current expiration date.
Recent Updates as of April 23, 2025:
Virtual Authorized Signer training sessions (TEAMS) will be hosted on Thursday May 1st from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM and Friday May 2nd from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. These sessions will familiarize you with logging in, new processes, and operating within the new portal. Please refer to your email for the link to join.
MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) will be REQUIRED each time you log into the new system so please download the Microsoft Authenticator Application on your mobile phone. This can be done in advance! Download the Microsoft authenticator app.
New Badge Designs as of May 12, 2025.
Escorting: Escort authority will be limited to a percentage based on company type, number of employees, and operational need. There will be an “E” icon printed on the face of the badge indicating this privilege. All Escort rules apply per our Rules and Regulations.
CBP SEALS: There will be changes to the way a Customs SEAL is requested via the portal.
Authority to Carry Tools: For employees with an operational need to carry tools through our approved FES checkpoints and vehicle gates, a “tools” designation will be printed on the face of the badge indicating permission to carry an otherwise prohibited item into the restricted areas.

SEA has been notified that moving forward, submissions for new and renewing applicants will only allow “male (M)” or “female (F)” in the “sex” field on badge applications. The TSA, as the federal agency responsible for badging requirements, is mandating this change and removing the option for “U” or “X” gender selections.
