Managing Director, Economic Development

With more than 20 years of experience in economic development, Neepaporn “A” Boungjaktha has played a pivotal role in strengthening international trade and business relationships in the Greater Seattle region. Before joining the Port, she held leadership roles with organizations including the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle (TDA), National Center for APEC (NCAPEC), Greater Seattle Partners (GSP), and Snohomish County.

As Executive Director for Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers, Boungjaktha oversaw economic, workforce, trade, and tourism development activities, including those at Paine Field Airport. Her work with TDA and GSP involved partnerships with over 40 countries to position the Greater Seattle region as a global hub for business, trade, and investment. While at NCAPEC, she facilitated engagement between business leaders and government officials from 21 APEC economies, fostering international connections and collaboration.

As Managing Director of Economic Development at the Port, Boungjaktha leads efforts to expand economic opportunity through economic development initiatives, real estate development, tourism, and partnerships at the local, regional, and international levels. Her work focuses on creating a sustainable and equitable economic vision for the Port’s future, including growing its real estate portfolio and fostering collaboration with Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) partners.

Boungjaktha is a board member of Greater Seattle Partners, the Washington State China Relations Council, and the University of Washington CIBER Advisory Board.
